Instructor Annie Painter:
Founded Children’s & Teacher Art Institute (now in its 23rd year in Gresham) when she was an award-winning elementary principal there (13 years).   3 years national arts & literacy coach, former working artist, kindergarten, sixth grade, middle school, high school teacher.   An estimated 2000 teachers and artists who teach have taken courses she still offers through PSU or workshops, some in Central Oregon.  Check out Annie’s work at www.anniepainter.com.  She lives with husband Bob Bridgeford and two handsome Vizsla dogs, Alexander and Theo (Tayo) on twelve acres in Sisters, Oregon.

Please join me this summer as the ‘founding’ families in my first Children’s Art Institute program in Central Oregon. In a relaxed, creative setting, I’ll share some of the most loved and best tested lessons from two decades using methods I developed that include idea development, exploration and basic skills with uniquely creative results. These methods are still much in demand in my work region-wide and have changed the way thousands of teachers, parents and children enjoy and achieve in the arts. Strict limit of 10 total students. Yes, parents do all the art, too.
